On the way to his retirement ceremonies Commodore Robert April and his wife Sarah are on board of the Enterprise. On their way they are pulled into a nova. Everything works backwards now. All become younger. When all are children, Commodore April, now 30 years old, takes over command.
He manages to return the ship to her actual course and restores the ages of all crew by using the transmitter. He and Sarah decide to get their real age back as well.
