The Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, represents the culmination of a lengthily penitential period in the Jewish calendar year. The evening of Yom Kippur and the following day are spent in the synagogue focusing on one's own inadequacies, shortcomings and forgiveness. In the services of Yom Kippur there is prayer and a rich variety of music.

This DVD consists of introductions to songs and background information about the contents of the songs. The beginning, sometimes a summary and sometimes the whole song is read by Leonard in English, sometimes partly in Hebrew as well. Sh'ma Koleinu:
Hear our voices, O Lord,
Give ear and grant our supplication.
Lord, forsake us not we pray,
Be with us when our strength falls.

The DVD is dedicated to the memory of Esther Gologor.
